How are judgments assigned to NAM’s Judgment Recovery Service for collection?


Judgment Recovery Service client’s sign a service agreement (see Fees and Services Agreement.) Clients include a copy of the statement of judgment for each judgment submitted.


What happens when NAM’s Judgment Recovery Service gets a judgment for collection?


Judgment Recovery Service will send an acknowledgment of the judgments placed. A notification is mailed to the judgment debtor that the judgment has been assigned to Judgment Recovery Service for collection. A collection professional begins the process of locating assets and contacting the judgment debtor.

What happens when NAM’s Judgment Recovery Service collects a judgment?


Judgment Recovery Service remits to their clients on a monthly basis. A check will be sent with a remittance statement. When full payment is received, Judgment Recovery Service will file the Satisfaction of Judgment with the court.

How long does it take to collect a judgment collection?


This varies greatly depending on the assets and income of the judgment debtor. When legal remedies are required, as is often the case, the process may take a minimum of four to six months to begin seeing payment.

Judgment Recovery Service collects judgments from Conciliation, District and Circuit Courts. We collect judgments for retail, medical, financial, professional, agriculture, leasing, and utility companies.
